Goodwill of Southern Nevada Launches HomeDrop Trailer Service

Posted

Goodwill of Southern Nevada is making it easier for residents to donate gently used household items with the Oct. 19 launch of their new Goodwill HomeDrop Trailer Service. The service provides a convenient solution for individuals and households to make a donation that is too large to be transported in a personal vehicle.

Through the HomeDrop Trailer Service, Goodwill delivers a 7-by-16-foot trailer to a designated location, allowing donors to load gently used furniture, appliances, clothing and other household items at their own pace over a 48-hour period. Once the scheduled donation window ends, Goodwill returns to pick up the trailer and provide a donation receipt.

The service is designed to simplify the donation process for residents who are clearing out a garage or storage space, downsizing, moving, or looking to donate multiple bulky items at once.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for our community to donate items they no longer need,” said Rick Neal, president and CEO of Goodwill of Southern Nevada. “The HomeDrop Trailer Service offers a convenient, flexible way for residents to give their gently used belongings a second life while supporting our mission to help Southern Nevadans access job training, employment opportunities, and pathways to a brighter future.”

The HomeDrop Trailer Service will initially be available in the following Northwest Valley and Summerlin ZIP codes: 89117, 89128, 89129, 89130, 89131, 89135, 89138, 89143, 89144, 89145, 89147, 89148, 89149, and 89166.
